If You Listen to Brent Faiyaz but Never Checked Out Sonder, Fix That Tonight
Not a Brent era. A group. And one of the most underrated projects in modern R&B.

If you listen to Brent Faiyaz but never really checked out Sonder, you should.
A lot of people think Sonder is just another Brent era. It is not. It is a group. Brent on vocals, Atu and Dpat on production. They have been around since 2016, with their first project landing in 2017. Then in 2022 they dropped "Too Late to Die Young," and that is their last project so far.
It is only five tracks. Eleven minutes long. "Make Me Stay," "Mad Riches," "Indonesian Fantasies," "Break You Off," "Someone New."
It feels more stripped back than his solo stuff. Less dramatic. More late night, headphones on type energy.
Fun fact, it actually showed up as a short film on YouTube in 2021 before it hit streaming in 2022. The songs flow into each other like one long scene.
No big hype. No massive rollout. Just a tight project. If you have never run it front to back, do it tonight.
